Park City Transportation Does Not Require Bike Gear Unless it is a Bike

Taxi Cab

It is an axiom known by all of the Bike Gear and Stuff Blog readers that the use of Park City transportation does not require the simultaneous use of bike gear (and or stuff) unless the transportation being used happens to be a bike. Although this axiom could be described to be obvious on its face it does require repeating every now and then to remind us (that is, the Bike Gear and Stuff Blog community) that bike gear, although important to us because we use bikes on a regular basis, is not necessarily necessary for all other modes of transportation.

NEITHER BIKE GEAR NOR STUFF IS REQUIRED FOR PARK CITY TAXI

This axiom holds true regardless of the type of transportation involved with the understanding that it obviously does not a apply to transportation that also happens to be a bike. Although it may also apply to a bike if the bike in question requires new bike gear or stuff to repair it. Obviously a fully functional bike will always involve some type of bike gear because a bike is essentially a collection of bike gear interconnected such that it forms a fully functional bike. But if it is indeed a fully functional bike then it most likely does not require new bike gear to allow it to function.

All this being said, it must also be acknowledged that bike gear and stuff is important for a fully functional bike. True, it is the message of this particular blog post that bike gear and stuff are not necessary for other non-bike types of transportation but this is not to say that bike gear and stuff is in any way diminished in its importance or usefulness. There are many things that serve a very specific purpose and although not useful outside of the context of this specific use, within the context of this use is very important indeed.
